Advencheer! is my little corner of the internet where I share stories, tips, and snapshots from my travels around the world. I’m Misha Johanna—a girl from Indonesia 🇮🇩 who’s explored 51 countries (and counting!), spent two years living in Bangkok, Thailand 🇹🇭, and has been happily based in Vilnius, Lithuania 🇱🇹 since the summer of 2019.

A bit of what I do…

Since 2015, I’ve been working in roles that embrace the work-from-anywhere culture—starting with a travel startup in Bangkok. Wherever I’ve lived, I’ve always had an office to go to, but also the flexibility to work remotely. That freedom has allowed me to keep building my career while also exploring the world.

Today, I work as a Senior CSM at Whatagraph, a marketing analytics and reporting platform. Outside of work, I sometimes take part in filming projects as an actor—like this feature for Work in Lithuania. It’s a privilege to be able to balance my work with my love for travel—and I don’t take it for granted!

Why travel?

Travel has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My grandma and mom often took me abroad (and across Indonesia) for both business and leisure. I even flew alone for the first time at age 10—just a short hop from Jakarta to Yogyakarta, with a stewardess looking after me.

As an adult, my first big trip was in 2010 to Cambodia, where I joined a 10-day study and volunteering program with my university friends. That experience sparked a love for exploring the world—and I’ve been hooked ever since!
